A Unique and Fruitful Summer English Language Boot Camp (ELBC) Program at Millennium Primary School, Bishoftu
A remarkably creative and fun summer English language improvement program known as ‘the English Language Boot Camp (ELBC) was concluded today after three weeks of intensive teaching at the Millennium Primary School in Bishoftu. The program which started on July 25th, 2022 benefited 45 students from grade three and four. During the three weeks students were introduced to many interactive and fun games, songs and activities which were designed to help the students speak English while having fun. In addition to the emphasis on speaking other skills such as listening, memorization techniques were also taught. The result has been phenomenal with kids learning a great deal within such a short period of time.
On the closing ceremony parents couldn’t hide their joy at seeing their kids learning so much while district education bureau representatives also expressed their appreciation and thanks to the Gudina Tumsa Foundation (GTF). GTF has implemented ELBC at the Fantalle region before.
