KOELIM is the business arm of the Gudina Tumsa Foundation (GTF) with a primary objective of leading income-generating initiatives for GTF while advocating for the empowerment of marginalized communities, specifically youth and women. At the core of KOELIM’s mission is an unwavering dedication to serving and uplifting those typically neglected by traditional support systems.
Since its founding, KOELIM has achieved remarkable progress, propelled by the commitment of our team and collaborators whose deep-seated enthusiasm for transforming the circumstances of unemployed youth and women motivates all our endeavors. Our multifaceted Income Generating Activities (IGA) program encompasses a diverse range of sectors, including dairy, coffee, bamboo, and agribusiness, among others. Not only does it generate vital income for the Foundation, but it also serves as a catalyst for economic empowerment and skill development among marginalized communities. Through practical training initiatives in weaving, garment making, basketry, pottery, and bamboo craftsmanship, supported by the Foundation’s livelihood projects, KOELIM provides avenues for sustainable livelihoods and economic independence.
Conveniently located in Legetafo (opposite to CCD Ethiopia), our KOELIM shop proudly showcases a variety of high-quality products, including woven goods, pottery, garments, and bamboo items. Moreover, we offer custom-made products tailored to individual preferences, ensuring customer satisfaction while advancing the Foundation’s humanitarian and development endeavors.
Looking ahead, GTF envisions a future where KOELIM serves as the cornerstone of the organization’s financial sustainability, reducing reliance on external funding sources.
