Overview
GTF is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Project Manager for a Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation-funded advocacy project in healthcare, nutrition, agriculture, financial inclusion, and women’s economic empowerment. The project targets the two largest regional states in Ethiopia—Oromia and Somali. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the successful implementation of the project under the direct supervision of the Programs Director. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully managing and executing projects.
As a Project Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that the project is delivered on time, within budget, and meets the desired outcomes. You will work closely with the leadership team to define project goals, develop project plans, and allocate resources. Additionally, you will be responsible for monitoring the project’s progress, identifying potential risks or issues, and implementing appropriate solutions. The ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with cross-functional teams is essential in this role.

Responsibilities
· Develop and implement project plans and timelines.
· Manage project budgets and ensure that all expenses are within budget.
· Monitor project progress and ensure that all deliverables are completed on time.
· Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure that the project is aligned with their needs.
· Develop and maintain relationships with partners and stakeholders.
· Ensure that the project is compliant with all relevant laws and regulations.
· Prepare regular reports on project progress for management, the donor, and government signatories.
· Exercise excellent supervisory and supportive leadership over project staff.
· Work together with the Livelihood Program Officer and the Healthcare, Environment, and WaSH Program Officer as key advisors for this project.
· Facilitate meetings with all relevant stakeholders.
· Identify staff training needs and facilitate the training sessions.
Requirements
· Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and best practices.
· Excellent organizational and time management skills.
· Strong leadership and team management abilities.
· Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English.
· Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
· Minimum of 10 years of experience in project management in NGOs.
· Proficient in English, Afan Oromo, and Amharic.
· Master’s degree in business administration, project management, or other relevant fields.
